Be Well on the Farm is the wellness focus of Joseph Decuis where we create inspiring events to support health, influence awareness and encourage personal development.

Look forward to cooking demonstrations with farm raised vegetables, mindful yoga workshops, nature walks, fitness events and healthy lifestyle retreats.

Health Educator

"Heal" with Carry through personal development, nutrition and lifestyle lectures as well as cooking demonstrations at Joseph Decuis Farm.

Carry graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio Physician Assistant program in 2003, and accepted a position at the university as a faculty associate. She then served as a clinician at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC and then here in Indiana with Professional Emergency Physicians.

After twelve years of clinical practice in Emergency Medicine Carry decided to focus on prevention and, if disease is present, treating the cause not just the symptoms. It was this search for a better way that led her to wellness and functional medicine.

Carry has trained at the Cooper Institute focusing on Coaching Healthy Behaviors, and is continuing her training with the Institute of Functional Medicine, and anticipates IFM certification this year. Carry is also a member of the PA Advisory Council for Trine University.

In 2017 Carry founded The Indivi Institute of Health and Wellness with open enrollment in Fort Wayne soon.

Yoga Instructor and Wellness Coordinator

"Connect" with your inner most self  through yoga, nature and fitness events at Joseph Decuis Farm.

My deep study of Yoga began at Kripalu School of Yoga and Health where I received the 200 hour training in 2009. Soon after I found the Ashtanga yoga method of practice while living in Southern Florida and have been practicing since.

In January 2016, on my fourth study trip in Mysore, India I was given authorization from Sharath Jois, director of KPJAYI in Mysore, India to teach the Ashtanga Yoga method.

From 2010-2012 I attended Sai Ayurvedic College based out of Miami, FL and Anjali School of Ayurveda in Kerala, India where I received my certification in Ayurveda as well as an associates degree in Vedic Studies.

In 2012 I founded Ashtanga Yoga Fort Wayne and 2017 established a yoga school downtown Fort Wayne where I teach in the traditional way called "Mysore-style" named after Mysore, India where my teacher resides and where I go to study.

I have been running daily since 2002. I co-founded the Canterbury High School track team in 2004, I competed in four seasons of Cross Country and Indoor/Outdoor track in a DIII college, and then went on to run marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2009.

I am a USATF Level I certified coach and coached at the high school level as well as volunteered as an assistant for a DI outdoor track season at University of Miami.

Marissa schroeder

Massage Therapist and Licensed Esthetician

"Relax" with Marissa through massage therapy at Joseph Decuis Farm.

Since 2010 Marissa has been experienced in all areas of beauty and wellness. Recently, she has found that this did not allow her to connect to her clients the way she wanted so in February 2018 she launched her own establishment "Peace of Mind Massage and Esthetics" located in Roanoke, Indiana where she could create a peaceful environment for herself to give to clients.

Marissa's intention in giving massage is to promote relaxation that will help facilitate a peaceful mind.

The Joseph Decuis Farmstead Spa Room is found in the renovated cellar of the historic 1800's home. The setting is quiet, peaceful and conveniently located away from city-life distractions. You may hear some roosters crowing.
